Merchants have long used generic discount codes, offered by Springbot, to drive website traffic and attract customers by offering light discounts such as five percent off or free shipping on total purchases.
While merchants can limit generic coupon codes by ad outlets and timeframe, one growing concern is the abuse of viral coupon codes. Unique coupon codes restricts abuse by providing store owners with control over the distribution and use of discount codes.
